Kim’s rating: ⅗
Pros: small, sleek design, easy to hold, multiple speeds
Cons: not as strong as comparably-sized vibrator

Overview:
Let it be known: I am a wand girlie. Wands are my holy grail of vibrators. Of course, the Magic Wand was my first and favorite, but I am not averse to adding new ones to my rotation. When The Sex Shed sent me a Le Wand Microwand to test, I was pleasantly surprised.
One of the drawbacks of standard wands is their size and weight. They can be quite large - the standard Magic Wand measures in at about a foot - and they’re not exactly light compared to other vibes. It’s more than worth it for the bang you get for your buck, but it’s still something to consider, especially when traveling or in certain sex positions.

How to Use the Le Wand Micro
The Microwand is pretty easy to use. It has a single button that turns it on and rotates through its 3 speeds and 7 vibration patterns. It has a USB charger which is plugged into the end of the handle. I prefer this type of charger to the magnetic metal ones because it’s less likely to slip out of place and lose charger contact. It’s also billed as “shower friendly,” although I didn’t try it because I’m not really a shower ‘bator.
Design
The Microwand is less than 4 inches long and can be easily held in one hand. The one I received was white with gold trim; it also comes in purple, pink, and black. I always appreciate a variety of color choices; sex toys that come in only pink and purple feel gendered.
The head is somewhat flexible and is attached to a short but sturdy cone-shaped handle, which is easy to grip, especially compared to smaller bullet vibes. It’s made from silicone, except for the gold plastic trim around the neck and on the button. It looks sleeker than a lot of other wands on the market.

Unboxing and Packaging
The Microwand comes in a cardboard box, labeled with the contents and a photo (actual size!). When opened, the wand is cradled in molded plastic to keep it from moving around. It comes with a charger cord (charge block is not included) and instructions.
Cleaning and Maintenance
This toy is super easy to clean. Since it’s all silicone, you can just wash it with gentle soap (I use castile) and warm water. Pat it dry or let it air dry, then you’re good to go.
Remember - it’s NOT compatible with silicone lube, because using silicone lube with a silicone toy can damage the material. The same goes for storing it with other silicone toys. One thing I wish it came with is a storage bag. That makes it easier to keep separate from your other toys.

User Experience
Personally, I did not find the vibration provided by this toy very strong. It’s very buzzy, so if you like buzzy toys, the Microwand might be for you. I’m more into rumbly, and this toy definitely does not rumble. I guess you can’t expect a toy that small to pack the same punch as a full-size Magic Wand, but I have bullets the same size as the Microwand that have way more of a range of vibration strength. It took FOREVER to reach orgasm, and my fingers started to get sore from holding it for so long.
If you have an especially sensitive clitoris, or are planning to use it someplace else that feels more sensitive for you, it might work, but for my body, it just didn’t do the trick.

Price
The Le Wand Microwand retails for about $30. For that price point, I think it’s adequate, especially given that it’s water-resistant and made from silicone. Typically when I look for compact vibrators, I seek out a higher price range, because that’s where I find the strong, rumbly vibrations I want. If you’re looking for a budget toy, the Microwand is definitely nicer than a lot of the other $30 options out there, so don’t rule it out. Just be aware you’re not going to be getting out-of-this-world vibrations.

Final Word
I feel very middle-of-the-road on the Microwand. Everyone’s body is different, so I can’t say that what doesn’t work for me won’t work for anyone, and it is a very attractive, well-designed toy. It’s small size makes it easy to travel with and grip, and it’s rechargeable and waterproof - both nice features for a lower-priced vibrator. My final verdict is that if you have a sensitive clitoris, or like a light, buzzy touch, the Le Wand Microwand would probably be a good pick for you. Me? I’ll be running back into the arms of my army of heavy-duty wands.
