Help, my toy won't turn on!?

Most rechargeable toys need a full charge before their first use, so let the toy charge completely before switching it on. Some battery-operated toys also ship with a small paper slip in the battery compartment to protect the batteries — it's easy to mistake this for a fault, so check that the slip is removed, the batteries are seated correctly, and the cap is screwed on tightly. If your toy came with an information booklet, please give it a look before contacting us.

Help, I don't like my toy!!

We're sorry to hear that! Everything we sell is high quality and body-safe, but we know personal preference plays a big part — finding the perfect toy is often a matter of trial and error. Take a look at the Practical Use Tips in our product listings for all the different ways to enjoy your toy, and if you're still unsure, reach out to us!

How do I clean my sex toy?

Should I share my sex toys?

If you decide to, make sure to properly disinfect the toy after each use. Covering it with a condom is also a great way to prevent the transmission of STIs — and it makes clean-up easier, too.

Is there a legal age for me to order from your store?

Yes. Under U.S. law, you must be at least 18 to order from us.

Is your shipping and billing discreet?

Help, I didn't receive my full order?!

Sometimes products ship from two different locations — either to speed things up or depending on stock levels — so your order may arrive in two separate packages. If you've only received the first part, the rest should arrive shortly. If you think something's genuinely off, reach out to us and we'll sort it out as soon as possible.

Help, I lost the charging cable -.-

If you've broken or misplaced your charger, it can usually be replaced. We recommend contacting the brand or manufacturer directly — or reach out to us and we'll point you to the next steps!

Can I shove this up my ass?

Please refer to the Practical Use Tips that nearly every product in our shop includes. As a rule, never insert anything anally unless it has a flared base, a stopping point, or a strong cord to pull it back out. (And no — Kegel balls don't have a long enough cord.) The Sex Shed is not responsible for injuries resulting from the misuse of a toy.

Can I use my toy in the water?

Waterproof means you can fully submerge it.

Splash-proof means the shower is fine, but don't submerge it.

If the toy plugs into an outlet, keep it away from water entirely.

How long will my order take to arrive? 

Standard U.S. shipping arrives within 4–6 days after processing, with faster expedited options available at checkout, and orders over $89 ship free. Shipping to Canada takes 6–8 business days. For full rates and delivery times, see our shipping info page.

Can I cancel or change my order after I've placed it? 

You have about 4 hours after placing your order to cancel it or update your shipping address — after that it moves into processing and can no longer be changed. Email us at support@thesexshed.com as soon as possible and we'll do our best. Full details are on our shipping info page.

What if my package goes missing or gets stuck in transit? 

Every parcel comes with a tracking number, and once an order leaves our warehouse it's in the carrier's hands. If your package is lost or delayed, you can file a claim directly with the carrier — our shipping info page lists exactly where to go for each one. Not sure who handled your delivery?
