A double penetration strap-on harness is worn around the hips and pelvis and is designed to hold two dildos simultaneously, or one dildo plus a secondary stimulator, so the receiving partner can experience vaginal and anal penetration at the same time. The main dildo typically mounts through a front O-ring, while a second attachment point, often positioned lower on the harness or via a secondary loop, provides the additional penetration. The wearing partner controls depth, angle, and pace hands-free, which can make the experience feel more connected and intuitive for both people involved.
Most double penetration strap-on harnesses are sold without dildos included, so you will need to purchase harness-compatible dildos separately. Look for dildos described as harness-compatible or strap-on compatible, meaning they have a flat, flared base that sits securely in the O-ring. Pay attention to the O-ring diameter on each attachment point and match it to the base width of the dildo you plan to use. Buying them separately gives you the freedom to choose the size, shape, and material that works best for both partners.
DP strap-on harnesses are most commonly made from nylon webbing, vegan leather, genuine leather, or neoprene. None of these strap materials are intended for internal use, so they do not need to meet the same body-safety standards as insertable toys. However, it is worth checking that any hardware, such as buckles, D-rings, and O-rings, is smooth and free of rough edges that could cause skin irritation. If you have sensitivities to specific materials, nylon and neoprene are generally well tolerated and easy to clean.
Cleaning method depends on the material:
Always remove any metal hardware before washing if possible, and make sure the harness is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew or odour build-up.
For anal penetration, a generous amount of lubricant is strongly recommended for comfort and safety. A good-quality water-based lubricant is compatible with all toy materials and will not affect any part of the harness. If your dildos are made from silicone, avoid silicone-based lubricants, as they can degrade the surface of silicone toys over time. For glass, stainless steel, or hard plastic toys, both water-based and silicone-based lubricants are fine. When in doubt, water-based lube is the safest all-around choice for DP play.
