What lube should we use with couples' toys?

Water-based lubricant is the safest all-round choice because it is compatible with every toy material, including silicone. Silicone-based lube lasts longer and feels silkier, but it should not be used with silicone toys as it can degrade the surface over time. Oil-based lubricants are not recommended for use with most toys or with latex restraints and cuffs. When in doubt, reach for a quality water-based formula.

How do we clean and store our toys between uses?

Cleaning straight after use is the most important habit to build. For non-motorised silicone, stainless steel, and glass toys, you can boil them for a few minutes or run them through the dishwasher on the top rack without detergent. For vibrating or electronic toys, use warm water and a dedicated toy cleaner or a few drops of unscented mild soap, being careful not to submerge any charging ports or battery compartments. Dry everything thoroughly before storing, and keep toys in individual pouches or the original packaging to prevent materials reacting with each other.
