The key measurement is the inner diameter of the ring or stretcher. Measure the circumference of the shaft or the base of the shaft and testicles together, then convert to diameter. When you are between sizes, choose the larger one. A ring that is too tight can restrict blood flow, which becomes uncomfortable and potentially unsafe during longer wear. ABS plastic and toys with mechanical parts should be wiped down thoroughly with a toy-safe antibacterial cleaner and dried completely before storage. Always check the manufacturer guidance for anything with moving parts, coatings, or mixed materials.

Are there any safety rules I should follow during CBT play?

Yes, a few straightforward principles make a meaningful difference. Agree on a clear safeword or signal before starting, especially in partner play. Check in regularly during a session and pay attention to colour changes, numbness, or unusual cold in the skin, all of which are signs to remove a device immediately. Avoid wearing restrictive rings or stretchers for longer than the recommended time, which for most devices is no more than 20 to 30 minutes for beginners. Keep a pair of safety scissors nearby for any tie or lace-style restraints. If anything feels wrong, stop. Sensation play is meant to be intense but it should never cause lasting harm.
