Will a wand attachment fit my massager?

Compact or mini wands have smaller heads and need attachments specifically labelled for them. What materials are wand attachments made from, and are they body-safe?

The most common and most recommended material is body-safe silicone. It is non-porous, which means bacteria and residue cannot soak into the surface, it is free from phthalates and latex, and it stays soft and skin-friendly during extended use. Some attachments are made from TPE or TPR, which are softer and often more affordable but are porous, so they require more thorough cleaning and should not be shared between partners without a barrier. Always look for products that clearly state they are body-safe and phthalate-free.

How do I clean and care for a wand attachment?

Cleaning method depends on the material and whether the attachment has any motorised components of its own. For solid silicone attachments with no electronics, you can wash them with warm water and a dedicated toy cleaner or mild unscented soap, and some can even be boiled or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher (without detergent) for a deeper clean. TPE or TPR attachments should be washed with toy cleaner or soap and water only, as they cannot be boiled. Always dry attachments thoroughly before storing them, and keep them in a clean pouch or container away from other toys to prevent material degradation.

Can I use lubricant with wand attachments?

Yes, and lubricant can make a real difference to comfort and sensation, especially with textured attachments. Water-based lubricant is safe to use with all attachment materials, including silicone. Avoid silicone-based lubricant on silicone attachments, as it can degrade the surface over time and shorten the life of the product.
