What size collar should I choose?

Measure the circumference of the wearer's neck with a soft tape measure, then add roughly 2 to 4 cm to find the ideal minimum adjustable range. Most collars list a minimum and maximum circumference in the product details. Always check that you can fit two fingers flat between the collar and the neck once it is fastened. If you are buying as a gift and do not know the exact measurement, choose a collar with the widest available adjustment range.

Is it safe to use a leash for any kind of pulling or leading?

Leash play should always involve gentle, controlled guidance rather than sharp tugging. Pressure on the front of the neck can affect breathing and blood flow, so both partners should agree on a clear safeword or signal before play begins. Many people prefer to attach the leash to a harness or to a collar with a back or side D-ring rather than the front, which distributes any tension more safely. Never leave a leashed partner unattended or use a leash during sleep.

What materials are used in collars and leashes, and are they body safe?
